Vegan Golden Milk Smoothie


Ingredients:
2 cups Silk Unsweetened Almondmilk (I prefer unsweetened but use the variety you prefer)
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon ground Saigon cinnamon or 1 cinnamon stick finely grated
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger or 1/2 inch fresh ginger, skin removed and finely grated

Instructions:
  • Step 1. On the stove top, in a small-medium saucepan, over low-medium heat, pour 2 cups milk, add turmeric, cinnamon, ginger and honey or maple syrup (you can also add the sweetener after). Optional: Add cardamon pod & star anise pod. Whisk ingredients to combine. Bring to a simmer.Vegan Golden Milk Smoothie
  • Step two, When the mixture is at a simmer, remove the saucepan from heat. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and stir in(optional). Allow the liquid to cool a few minutes (just so that it's not boiling hot).
  • After that, Using a spoon, remove the stair anise and cardamom pod, if you added them.
