Chocolate Salted Caramel Tarts


Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tbsp Dutch-processed cocoa powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 stick cold unsalted butter cut into small (1/2-inch) cubes

Instructions:
  • Step number one. In a large bowl mix flour with cocoa powder, sugar and salt. Incorporate butter to the flour mixture, using a pastry blender, a fork or a pastry processor, until crumbs are formed. Mix in the egg. Add the ice water a tablespoon at a time and mix swiftly and gently.
  • After it, Flatten the dough into disk, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hour or overnight.
  • Step 03, Roll the dough out on a floured surface with a floured rolling pin to about 1/4 inches thick. Using a round cookie or biscuit cutter (approximately 3.5 inches diamater) cut rounds out.
